Simple Sounds is located in the small town of Shipshewana, IN in the Davis Mercantile. We were established in 1989 and the current owners, Gary & Linda Zehr, purchased the business in 2001.
Since then, Gary & Linda have continued to expand the offerings in the store and online, leading us to carry a large variety of folk instruments, print music, CDs, hardware for instruments, wind chimes and a large array of gifts for musicians of all levels.
We have anywhere from 5 to 8 employees in our store and all are trained and knowledgeable about the products in our store as well as music in general. Great customer service is our philosophy!
If there is an item you want that we don't have, we will make every attempt to locate it for you!
Shipshewana is a small Amish community located in northern Indiana. We have about 1.5 million visitors through town in a year. About 20 to 30 thousand is during tourist season alone! Come enjoy the down-to-earth, relaxed pace of Shipshewana and be sure to stop in and visit us!
